Since many won’t be at school on Friday, Alliance moved Marlborough’s Day of Silence to tomorrow. There will be an Alliance-sponsored “Day of Silence Break-the-Silence Speak-In” at lunch on the front bricks. Also, if you are painting the mural, remember to wear mussed-up clothing tomorrow.

Tomorrow, April 23rd is Denim Day, so bring $5 to wear jeans instead of your skirt. Everything else must be in uniform though. Proceeds go to preventing violence against women.

The Science Department will be showing various Earth-related videos in the science rooms (B201, B203, B204 and B206) at lunch starting tomorrow to continue our celebration of EARTH DAY!
The Planet Earth DVD’s will be shown- if you haven’t seen them, they are amazing!
A great thing to watch while you enjoy a trash free lunch!

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Wednesday) is Denim Day! Bring $5 and wear blue jeans all day! Pay grade level leaders, Ms. Diaz in the front office, or any community service reps!

Tomorrow (as hopefully you all know) is EARTH DAY! Please bring a waste free lunch (this means tupperware, lunchboxes, reusable water bottles) and join council for a picnic on the field! Also, during this time, you are free to use cellphones in order to call local representatives to promote acting AGAINST climate change! Beginning on Wednesday, environmental films will be shown in the middle school science rooms during lunch… See you on the field tomorrow! Happy Earth Day!

This week, Monday, the 21st, through Friday, the 25th, Art Council invites you take part in a school-wide photo collage entitled “Documenting Change!” Three throw-away cameras will be distributed to each grade and should be passed around throughout the week. Please return cameras to your grade level leaders by Monday, the 28th.
A few guidelines:
-take one photo and pass it on
-think of what the theme “documenting change” means to you whether that’s construction, teachers, friends, etc
-and lastly, have fun

The Junior Class is sponsoring a “green” feast. For $5 you can purchase lunch (a hamburger) which comes in vegetarian and Passover-approved variations. There will also be a performance on the field by Laura Jansen, who will be selling her CD for $5.
Remember, if you pay before the event, you get to skip the line.
